Please complete the following tasks by Sunday before your scheduled week of service. Preparations by this date are sufficient for our arrival any day of your scheduled week.
Preparation Instructions:
- In the absence of rain, lightly water your lawn prior to service and then turn off your irrigation until after your service is completed. The ground should be slightly moist but not wet. Aeration machines perform better in dryer conditions.
- Flag all sprinkler heads, valve box covers, shallow electrical lines, water pipes, or water drainage pipes and/or any other sub-surface objects. Wire flags are available from hardware stores or here on Amazon and are the best tools for marking. The flags should be placed directly on top of the object.
- Invisible Dog Fences are very shallow and easily damaged by an aerator. Please contact an electrician or the Invisible Dog Fence service to mark your underground wires. Wires should be marked every 2-3 feet and clearly represent the location of the wire. Emerald Island Lawn Service is not responsible for damage to Invisible Dog Fences that are not marked properly.
