About Us
With Emerald Island Lawn Service, it is possible to have a lush, thick, healthy lawn while still protecting and conserving the environment. We started Emerald Island Lawn Service because we wanted to make a difference in the environment. We use only dry granular-fertilizer and the highest-quality eco-friendly products. Our technicians are properly trained on the proper procedures for treatment, applications, and use of products used in the maintenance of lawns. We also follow the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) preventive approach recommended by the National Pest Control Association (NPCA) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA.)

Meet Our Leaders!
Bradley Kesecker
Bradley Kesecker has a long history in the turfgrass industry. Upon graduation from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Forestry and additional studies at the University of Maryland in Turfgrass Management, he began his career in 1985 at Barefoot Grass Lawn Service as a Territory Manager in 1985.
After five years of excelling in the Baltimore location, he took the leap into entrepreneurship and selected Knoxville to open his own franchise of Barefoot Grass Lawn Service. The Knoxville location became one of the largest and fastest growing Barefoot Grass franchises. In 1998, the franchise was sold to Trugreen Chemlawn and Brad became the branch manager at the local office. He gained experience in the corporate world as well as attending the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC.
In 1999, Brad founded Emerald Island Lawn Service after nearly 20 years in the turfgrass industry. His focus with Emerald Island has always been to provide the highest quality lawn and landscape care in the Knoxville area.
Tyler Kesecker
Tyler Kesecker has always had an avid interest in the turfgrass industry. Starting from the age of eight, Tyler would ride around in Brad’s work truck, eagerly shadowing his father at each yard, curious about the ins and outs of the business.
As Tyler grew older, he took on a more permanent role at Emerald Island, and became licensed and certified by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture. From then on, Tyler juggled between school and working at Emerald Island. While on summer breaks, he would come home from college, and continue working until he went back the following year. He graduated from King College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2016; he then went on to obtain his MBA in Project Management, which he completed in 2017.
